Such A Nice Day (S.A.N.D.) Adventures is an outdoor adventure and education company based out of Thunder Bay on the Canadian North shore of Lake Superior. We operate south from Thunder Bay to the United States Border at Pigeon River and eastward in the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area from Silver Islet to Rossport and the Slate Islands.
We specialize in adventures in the coastal Lake Superior environment and beyond.
We offer:
Superior starter courses with Paddle Canada certification for sea kayak skill development of basic, level 1 and level 2
Day tours and custom expeditions by sea kayak
Special events, school programs, day tours, and custom expeditions with our 34ft Montreal voyageur canoe
Our remote basecamp site at Nirivia on St. Ignace Island will also provide families and individuals with rustic lodge based accommodation with access to world class hiking, paddling and fishing.
