Paddle Canada Certification courses for Spring and Summer 2021 are now posted on our courses & workshops page. If you work with a group, club, or school and are in need of a course, please contact us ASAP as we will do our best to fit you and your course needs into the busy spring schedule.

Paddle Canada courses are designed for teachers, camp leaders, park interpreters, and folks just looking to gain the skills necessary for safe paddling & tripping.

Paddle Canada courses are divided between Skills courses which teach you the techniques and Instructor courses which certify you to teach Paddle Canada courses. Skill courses are the pre-requisite for Instructor courses.

Paddle Canada has different divisions for the different water you will be paddling in. There is Lake Water & Moving Water in Canoe, Sea Kayak, and SUP courses. Our focus is on teaching the Canoe program. New for 2019, Paddle Canada introduced a new Camping program that replaced the Canoe Tripping Program. This new Camping program can be taught without being in canoes or kayaks which also makes it a great training program for backpacking and day hiking.
