Bearfoot Outside inspires you to take your stand up paddle adventures to the next level! Your coach, Paddle Canada Instructor Trainer Neil Gilson, brings you 40-plus years of paddle guiding and instructional experience to help you expand your own paddling horizons through basic and advanced stand up paddle skills, and into river, whitewater and coastal touring environments.

Our focus is on delivering personal, small group, customized instruction, coaching and guiding sessions that build on where you are at, and take you to where you want to go! We build our on-water courses and coaching clinics around the Paddle Canada curriculum from basic skills development to advanced instructor training.

Bearfoot Outside is based on the east coast of Vancouver Island but we are also available to travel, we can run on-line coaching and video sessions for you, and we also work collaboratively to offer courses, workshops, and adventures with other great guides and instructors across western Canada.
