Program Coordination Committee

The PCC develops policies and procedures that are common to all four Paddle Canada training programs; assists the PDC’s in their development of training and teaching resources for Paddle Canada instructors; receives feedback on common policies and elements of all Paddle Canada programs; provides leadership in the development of paddling and coaching skills; assists in resolving disputes between PDC’s and carries out other projects tasked as necessary by the PC Board of Directors.

What’s next?

The PCC is a busy group of dedicated volunteers, whose goal is to provide industry-leading programs, policies and systems, consistent across all of Paddle Canada’s disciplines.

During the 2017/18 winter season, the PCC plans to undertake the following work:

  • Develop a Paddle Canada Camping program that is vessel-independant. It is a minimum two-year project.
  • Continue work on the development of a common Paddle Canada instructor trainer development program that recognizes training in other Paddle Canada disciplines. It is a minimum three-year project.
  • Other work, as requested by the board of directors.
