The Paddle Canada Camping Program includes nationally-recognized certifications in three skill levels (plus one supplemental module), with corresponding Instructor and Instructor Trainer certifications. The program teaches paddlers how to safely and efficiently plan, organize and execute camping trips in both front and backcountry settings. Paddle Canada’s goal is to provide the most relevant camping skills programming in the world.

The program launched in 2019 and is maintained by a committee of top-level Instructor Trainers from across Canada who leverage Paddle Canada’s canoe, kayak and stand up paddleboard program experience to remain ahead of the industry-standard for camping skills instruction.

The Paddle Canada Camping Program begins with the Camping Basics course for those with minimal or no camping experience. It progresses up to the Camping Leadership course, which is aimed for those interested in advanced leadership, group management and campcraft skills in a wilderness setting. The complete program also includes Instructor and Instructor Trainer levels.
