This award provides a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Basic Stand Up Paddleboarding program.
It normally serves as the entry point into the Paddle Canada SUP Instructor program. As such, the fundamentals of instruction receive considerable emphasis during this course. Successful candidates receive the Basic SUP Instructor award.
The Basic SUP Instructor is certified to:
conduct Paddle Canada Basic SUP skills courses and to certify paddlers at that level,
assist on Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP skills courses,
apprentice on Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater SUP skills courses, and
teach stand up paddleboarding on protected flatwater with easy landing options.

Register yourself as an instructor candidate member with Paddle Canada by following these steps:
Are you existing Paddle Canada member or a past skill course student? Login to your account and follow the instructor candidate link there.
Are you brand new to Paddle Canada? Proceed to the Instructor Candidate membership form.
