Congratulations To Amber Dyck, Bill Mason Scholarship Award Recipient

Paddle Canada is pleased to award the 2015-16 Bill Mason Scholarship Award to Amber Dyck of University of Ottawa, Envrionmental Science Department. Amber will receive a cheque for $1000 plus a year of Friends of PC Membership.  Thanks once again to the Bill Mason Scholarship Committee for their work in reviewing this years applications.

Amber was very excited to hear the news of course and told us:

“I’m so delighted and grateful for the gift of the Bill Mason Scholarship to help further my education, both academic and extracurricular. It has been an honour to grow up in the canoeing community and to move into a leadership role to help others experience the outdoors and become stewards of this beautiful Earth. I will use the scholarship to further my studies in Environmental Science and sustainability both at the University of Ottawa and next semester while on an exchange at Aarhus University in Denmark. I look forwards to a future of paddling and outdoor adventure, environmental education, stewardship, sustainability, peace and unity. I’d like to thank Paddle Canada, with a special thanks going to a great paddle master Max Finklestein.”
