Overview
Affiliate Members shall consist of those national level and other organizations that have an interest in canoeing and/or kayaking. Affiliate Members have the right to attend all Board of Directors meetings as a non-voting observer, with full right to discussion but shall have no voting status. The Board may permit Affiliate Membership status to organizations with mutual interest.
The organization must apply to the Board in writing. A two-thirds majority of the Board of Directors is required to appoint an affiliate.

Eligibility Criteria
Affiliate Membership applications are considered based upon the following criteria:
- National Level or Other Organization having an Interest in Canoeing and/or Kayaking
That is, the association making application should be offering canoeing and/or kayaking programs as part of their core curriculum. - Active Association
The association should be able to demonstrate such normal activities as running elections for its directors, and running successful activities throughout the year. - Membership Base
The association should have a respectable number of members given its activities and mandates. - Not-for-Profit Status
The association should be a not-for-profit entity. - Share the same aims and objectives as Paddle Canada
The association should be willing to support the mission statement and the goals of our current strategic plan.
Application Process
The Board of Directors reviews Affiliate Member status every three years, following which a further application is required for continuance. Affiliate Members will be invoiced upon approval, at a rate of $150 per year, invoiced annually in January. Contact us to apply or more info.
