From our Waterfront to our advanced Lake Skills programs, the Paddle Canada Lake Canoe program is designed to introduce paddlers to the activity of canoeing. Emphasis is placed on boat control and teaching the participants the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and have fun while on the water.
Age Requirements: There is no age restrictions for any Skill Courses - at the discretion of the Course Director please check with them. For all Lake instructor courses there is a minimum age is 16.
Paddlers are also taught the Leave No Trace principles for active environmental awareness and protection in order to help ensure that we can all continue to enjoy Canada's many waterways and wilderness for years to come.

Instructor Level Programs
Paddle Canada recommends that any Paddle Canada Instructor teaching a Paddle Canada course or program should hold a minimum First Aid and CPR or Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification for the area or location they will be instructing in.
