









Aim
To provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Introduction and Advanced Canoe Tripping Instructor courses. There are two levels of Instructor Trainers. Instructor Trainers are considered leaders in the Canoe Tripping paddling community and have significant influence over the success and safety of the Canoe Tripping Canoeing Program in Canada.
Prerequisites
Canoe Tripping Canoe Instructor Introduction Tandem/Solo
Must have taught 2 Introduction Skills Courses in the last three years.

The Canoe Tripping Canoe Instructor Trainer Introduction Tandem/Solo is certified to:

Program Overview
Candidates must mentor on at least 1 (one) Canoe Tripping Instructor Courses Tandem/Solo Introduction.
Candidates must teach at least 50% of the time.
Candidates are to produce an Instructor Course outline for the mentoring Instructor Course.
Be recommended by the Instructor Trainer(s) that candidates are mentoring under.
Assessment
Instructor Trainers are expected to have mastered the Introduction skills of the Canoe Tripping Program.
They must seem comfortable and show the mastery in skill, knowledge, and safety for the course they are mentoring and teaching.
