dcPaddle Canada is excited to welcome Dawn Callan to the office, as a part time staff.  Dawn's primary task is to co-ordinate the launch of the National Paddling Week, June 2013.   You will likely  be hearing from Dawn over the course of this winter as she builds works closely with Paddle Canada committees & volunteers, and builds support from the members and paddling community leading up to the event.

Dawn's  experience is very diverse and vast. Her expertise is in creative coordination of client centred services, facilitation of programs for non-profit agencies, special interest groups, and community events. Her skills include creative design, proven leadership, reporting and statistical analysis, grant writing, budget planning and management, database & records maintenance, computer proficiency, marketing, business planning and much more.

She has a long successful career as a musician and has been involved in various aspects of music festival management all across the country.

She is a life long paddler and started solo canoeing at age eight. She also does beautiful wood work and painting of antique paddles for resale. Also Paddle Canada patron, Kevin Callan is her cousin nonetheless!!

We look forward to working with Dawn.  Welcome aboard!
